Brain cancer incidence increases in the Czech Republic; in some cases, surgeons have to operate on conscious patien

As reported by specialists at the press conference in the Central Military Hospital in Prague, the incidence of brain cancer is increasing, with about nine hundreds of new cases revealed per year. Most patients do not survive. The disease requires surgery, and when brain functions have to be checked, the intervention is performed on a conscious patient. In some cases, radiosurgery is used as an auxiliary means to destroy the tumour tissue by precisely targeted radiation. World Brain Tumour Day is observed on June 8 every year.
